IT Technician with Database Focus

We are now looking for an IT technician with a focus on databases for the IT technology and operations unit at our headquarters in Karlstad.

Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the authority's IT systems and the associated infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities

The work is varied and includes, among other things:

• Manage the authority's IT systems and infrastructure.
• Be responsible for the operation, management, and maintenance of the authority's database platforms.
• Monitor and troubleshoot the authority's systems and database platforms.
• Collaborate with colleagues on various assignments and projects.
• Other tasks within the authority.

Your Qualifications

You have a post-secondary education with an IT focus, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. You also need to have:

• Experience in the operation and management of IT systems.
• Good knowledge of database platforms.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Good knowledge of Informix or SQL Server.
• Good knowledge of other technical infrastructure within servers, networks, and storage.
• Experience in automation with scripts or similar solutions.
• Experience with high availability solutions within technical infrastructure and databases.
• Experience with identity and access management systems.

In the role of IT technician, you need to have the ability to take initiative, start activities, and drive them forward towards set goals. You take responsibility for your tasks and structure your work, planning and organizing effectively. Furthermore, you have the ability to see the big picture and can therefore take into account a broader perspective. You communicate clearly with different types of people, thereby contributing to good collaboration.

About the Employment

We offer you a permanent full-time position that begins with a probationary period.

Due to the nature of the work, you cannot work from home, but we hope that this can instead contribute to a clearer division between work and leisure.
