Driven Software Developer Wanted
Are you a driven software developer looking to take the next step in your career? At Combitech in Karlskoga, Örebro, and Karlstad, you have the chance to work with embedded systems at the forefront of technology and develop in an exciting environment. We are looking for someone with experience in implementing robust software solutions and who is proficient in programming in C, C++, and Python. Join our expanding unit where we invest in your skills development and help you reach your full potential.
What We Offer
At Combitech, we invest in our employees, who are the core, brain, and heart of our operations. We do this by focusing on your skills development, making it easy for you to combine work with everyday life, and offering other great benefits.
Within our Systems Engineering division, we are looking for engineers who want to help shape our future direction. Here, you have the opportunity to arrange everything from after-work activities and hackathons to training projects and team-building activities. There is also room to propose and organize workshops and seminars with leading experts to deepen the team's expertise.
In addition to technical work, there is also the opportunity to participate in business development and customer relationship development. By actively contributing to strengthening our partnerships and identifying new business opportunities, senior engineers can play a central role in our continued success. If you want to contribute to innovative ideas with a focus on collaboration, this is the right place. Together, we can build a workplace where every engineer has the opportunity to grow and reach their full potential.
What the Role Involves
We are looking for a skilled consultant in software development specializing in embedded systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions tailored to the customer's specific requirements and needs. You will work closely with the customer's team to understand their needs and challenges, ensuring that the software solutions are both scalable and robust.
Your role includes participating in the entire development process, from initial requirements gathering to testing and deployment of the systems. You will provide technical advice and support to customers to optimize their systems and processes, as well as identify and resolve technical issues and bugs that may arise. Additionally, it is important that you stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends to deliver the best solutions to our customers.
You will be based in our office in Karlskoga, Örebro, or Karlstad, and the position can either be with a customer or in-house assignments.
As the position may involve work subject to defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.
Selection is ongoing. We look forward to your application!
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with a few years of experience who is now interested in new challenges, with the desire to develop as a person and in your role as a consultant and engineer. You can adapt when necessary and have a curiosity that helps you find new smart solutions to challenges that arise. You should have good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both customers and teams.
To succeed in the role of software developer in embedded systems, you should have a bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, or software engineering, or equivalent work experience. You should be proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python. Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and development for microcontrollers is a plus, as well as an understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, or UART.
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking are also important traits, as well as experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) to ensure smooth and efficient development processes. Good knowledge of Swedish and English is required, both spoken and written.
