We are looking for a senior software architect for an assignment within the defense industry, in an international collaborative project related to an advanced long-range system. You will play a central role in the further development of a technically leading planning system with GIS functionality that is facing several major upgrades.

The focus is on long-term architectural choices as well as ensuring high performance, quality, and maintainability. You will work closely with development teams and product owners, providing both strategic and technical leadership as well as operational architectural work in an agile environment with continuous integration.

• Develop and anchor proposals for technical architecture
• Create, review, and update system and architecture documentation
• Conduct concept studies prior to technical decisions
• Ensure a cohesive and sustainable overall architecture
• Collaborate with product owners on prioritizing technical implementations
• Coach and support development teams in architecture and design issues
• Collaborate with external suppliers and partners
• Contribute in an environment with high demands on quality, performance, and robustness, including challenges in distributed systems and calculations on circuit boards

• At least 10 years of experience in software development
• At least 3 years of experience in the role of software architect or equivalent
• Very good knowledge of C++
• Experience with agile working methods
• Experience working with high-performance computer systems, distributed systems, or similar technically advanced environments
• Ability to work strategically and long-term with system architecture
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Ability to undergo and be approved in a security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship, dual citizenship is not accepted)

• Experience with Ada
• Experience with CUDA
