About the Workplace

Västra Berga Adapted Primary School is a grades 1–9 school with subject and subject area orientations. We share the school with the primary school, and we have a total of about 370 students. Job Responsibilities

In your role as a teacher with us, classroom teaching is your central arena. You have overall responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in all subjects for grades 7–9. An important part of the assignment is to act as a pedagogical leader by leading and distributing the work for the class's teaching assistants, with the goal of creating a structured and stimulating learning environment.

Your main job responsibilities:

  • Conduct teaching in subjects together with a teaching colleague and teaching assistants.
  • Be responsible for pedagogical documentation, mentorship, and continuous collaboration with guardians.
  • Lead and coordinate the pedagogical work for the teaching assistants.
  • Collaborate closely with work teams, student health teams, and school management to optimize student development.
  • Design teaching so that each student is given the conditions to reach their full potential and maximum independence.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a special education degree focused on intellectual disabilities (ID) with documented experience in teaching within adapted primary school. Preferably with qualifications in subjects such as Math, Science, Swedish/Swedish as a second language.

  • Collaboration skills: You enjoy working in teams and are a good communicator in contact with colleagues and guardians.
