You now have the opportunity to become one of us at Jacobsskolan.

We work in newly renovated premises and provide education in seven of the upper secondary school's vocational programs as well as introductory programs. We are now offering a position as a teacher in Swedish and English.

At Jacobsskolan, we work based on trust with the student and their learning in focus. You will be part of a work team consisting of teachers in common subjects and vocational subjects, working together for the students' achievement of goals. You will also collaborate with subject colleagues in subject teams, where you will work together to develop the teaching in your subject.

Here you have the opportunity to be part of developing the school's operations through our systematic quality work. Together with your work team, you will work on the school's prioritized areas in the curriculum.

The position may include mentorship.

Who Are You?

We are looking for a licensed teacher with qualifications to teach Swedish and English at the upper secondary level. Experience in teaching in vocational programs at the upper secondary level is considered an advantage.

You are relationship-building and work from an inclusive approach with a focus on an accessible learning environment tailored to our students' needs and conditions. You are good at collaborating and are expected to actively participate in the subject team, work team, and have close cooperation with the school's other professionals such as student health. You believe in the student's ability, and your starting point in your meetings with students is to find the experiences and knowledge that are the student's assets. You enjoy working in multicultural environments and are inspired by new knowledge and experiences. We expect you to have good IT skills.

As you will be part of a work team, we see it as a given that you view your colleagues as an asset and that you see collaboration as a natural part of your work. In the role of a teacher, you take responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching based on the school's governing documents.

About Us

The Department of Children and Education is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, upper secondary schools, adapted schools, and cultural schools. We work together for a learning environment where children, students, and employees succeed and can be their best. The department's mission is to coordinate, plan, and support the various operations and work for coordination between school and working life.

Jacobsskolan offers the following programs: Child and Recreation Program, Construction and Civil Engineering Program, Electrical and Energy Program, Vehicle and Transport Program, Industrial Technology Program, Restaurant and Food Program, Health and Care Program, as well as all introductory programs. The school has a good collaboration with working life through constructive program councils. We are also engaged in Teknikcollege, Motor Industry College, and Health and Care College.
