Responsibilities and Duties

As a special education teacher, you are part of the student health team and responsible for the school's work with students in need of extra adjustments and special support.

• Coordination responsibility for an effective student health structure together with the principal.
• Supportive/coaching function for staff in special education issues, supervision.
• Support students/student groups based on needs.
• You should contribute to the school's goals and be engaged in the entire school's development.
• Responsible for pedagogical assessments.
• Document in the journal system.
• Be a sounding board and consultant to teachers and take cases via both EHT and as a coach or teacher.

You contribute to students meeting knowledge requirements and reaching their full potential by supporting teachers in their teaching with methods, materials, and guidance. Furthermore, you promote students' development and learning. This at the teacher level, for example, through lesson visits, observations, assessments, tests, guidance, and method development. At the student level, you see it as a natural part of the special education assignment to work closely with our students, for example through informal conversations in our common areas or workshops with classes or individual student guidance. As a special education teacher, you see it as important and natural to be present in classes to follow up and support both teachers and students regarding the learning situation.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained special education teacher or a trained teacher with started education as a special education teacher. Special teachers may also be of interest. It is also advantageous if you are qualified in mathematics or Swedish. In our recruitment, great emphasis is placed on personal suitability for the position, and we hope that you, like us, have a strong commitment to development. You are also structured and driven in your work.

Employment Type

The position is a full-time temporary position starting immediately or by agreement until June 15, 2026. There may be an opportunity for a permanent position in the long term.

You can also order the form to be sent home, which should be done as soon as possible as manual handling of the form takes a long time.

The first step in our recruitment process is to complete two psychological tests. Test links are sent via email immediately after the application is submitted, and you will receive feedback on the tests right after you have completed them.
