Your Responsibilities
The Prosecution Authority is looking for someone who wants a central role in crime fighting. As a prosecutor, you will apply legal practice in theory and practice with significant responsibility and in collaboration with others.
As an extra prosecutor, you will work with all aspects of ongoing criminal cases at a public prosecutor's office. You will lead preliminary investigations, make decisions on prosecution matters, and litigate in court.

Your Qualities and Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Swedish citizenship
- Nordic law degree
- Notary qualification from district or administrative court
- Experience from other qualified legal work for at least two years after your notary service, primarily in criminal cases. This refers mainly to work as a court of appeal assessor, lawyer, or other legal experience in criminal cases.

- be stable and have good judgment
- have good analytical skills and critical thinking ability

Admission Process
The position of extra prosecutor is a special fixed-term employment or a merit-based employment of at least twelve months, before you can be granted an exemption to become permanently employed as a chamber prosecutor.
The position is located at one of Stockholm's four public prosecutor's offices. If you proceed in the recruitment process, you will have the opportunity to express your preferences regarding which office you would prefer to be placed at upon employment.
Before an employment offer, the Prosecution Authority may conduct a background check in the suspicion register and criminal record. The background check is conducted on the final candidate.
Tests will occur during the recruitment process.
Interviews are expected to be conducted during weeks 8-11.
If the applicant who receives the assignment is employed by the Economic Crime Authority or within the Swedish courts, collective agreement-based fixed-term employment (so-called merit-based employment) will apply.
The Prosecution Authority is a preparedness authority. Upon employment, you may be placed in a war position at the Prosecution Authority. Read more under Work with Us.
