Region Jämtland Härjedalen is tasked with providing modern healthcare of high quality and working on preventive measures in public health. Region Jämtland Härjedalen is also responsible for regional development through active work in business, education, culture, and public transport.

You will be placed in the finance unit, which has overall responsibility for all finances within the region. The finance unit consists of economists, finance assistants, and management economists. We work together with the various operations of Region Jämtland Härjedalen and support them in financial and decision-making matters. Currently, we have around 35 employees in the finance unit working with budgeting, account reconciliations, monitoring, analysis, ongoing accounting, and financial statements. We are also responsible for the administration and management of the financial system.

We are now strengthening our team within the finance department and are looking for an economist based in Östersund. We offer an interesting job within a versatile organization where development opportunities are many.

This position currently involves working as an economist within healthcare.

Your responsibilities include planning and budgeting, forecasting and analysis, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting. You will also largely support the operations in your areas with financial monitoring and advice. A prerequisite is that you are interested in understanding operational issues from a financial perspective and engaging in dialogue with responsible managers and colleagues. It is also important that you have the willingness and commitment to improve and develop operations and routines.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university degree.
• experience in budgeting and operational planning.
• experience in operational monitoring and analytical work.
• experience in accounting and reconciliation of income statement and balance sheet accounts.
• good communication skills and is service-oriented in dialogue with colleagues and external partners.
• good general IT skills and proficiency in Excel and other Office suite programs.
