Accounting Economist for a Well-Known Company in Västerås

SJR is recruiting a driven Accounting Economist for our client, a well-known company with an office in Västerås. This is a full-time consulting assignment starting on February 16th and lasting until the end of the year with a chance for extension.

About the Position

In this role, you will support the Company Responsible for one of the client's OpCos, ensuring quality and compliance in accounting according to both internal guidelines and external regulations. You will drive and participate in projects, handle complex accounting issues, and play a central role in working on improvements and the development of routines and processes. The position involves close collaboration with several functions within the organization, where you are expected to contribute both a holistic perspective and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Support the Company Responsible in accounting matters for a specific OpCo
• Ensure quality in preparation, documentation, and reporting
• Participate in and drive projects within accounting and improvement work
• Ensure that accounting complies with legal requirements and internal principles
• Ongoing dialogue and collaboration with other parts of the organization
• Provide input for improvement measures and process development

Suitable Background

We are looking for someone with excellent knowledge of accounting and tax, including ÅRL, BFL, the Income Tax Act, the Value Added Tax Act, and a basic understanding of IFRS. You have several years of experience in qualified accounting work and are a business economist or have equivalent education. You are comfortable with digital tools and have good system skills, especially in the Office suite. Experience from the real estate industry is an advantage. For level 4, we expect you to have extensive consulting experience, have completed larger assignments with high quality, and have worked independently at an advanced level for several years.

You are collaborative and flexible, while also having a high degree of independence and the ability to take responsibility for complex issues. You have an analytical approach, a holistic view, and enjoy driving both operational and strategic tasks. Your accuracy, structure, and ability to ensure quality in your work are crucial for success in this role.
