Welcome to Videdal School – a miniature Malmö! Videdal School is located in the Husie district in the middle of a residential area, with walking distance to Bulltofta recreational area and proximity to other contexts, providing us with great opportunities to be a natural part of our beautiful Malmö. We also have good communication options, inviting students from all over Malmö.

We are a K-9 school with an attached after-school program and also have adapted primary school and vision activities, enriching our school with all children. You will be part of a team of teachers who together plan and are responsible for the students' education and development, as well as decide on any needs for subject integration or project studies in your classes. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach students in grades 6-9 in physical education and health. You will educate and support students in their social and academic development. You will challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others.

Your role will also involve mentorship for a number of students. As a mentor, you have specific responsibility for a group of students, allowing you to follow their study development and personal growth more closely. As a mentor, you will inform and keep the student's guardians informed about the student's academic development through regular development conversations and continuous dialogue.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed teacher with qualifications to teach physical education and health for grades 4-9. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we see it as an advantage. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a study environment and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day. It is advantageous if you have previous experience teaching from a language and knowledge-developing approach and are familiar with working with genre pedagogy. Previous work based on the CPS model is also seen as an advantage.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with a good knowledge and habit, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional approach and work to create good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.
