Archive Assistant in Social Services
Do you want to contribute to legal security and quality in the work of social services? We are now looking for a meticulous and structured archive assistant who wants to work with document and information management within social services.
The position is organized within Strategic Support, a department within the Welfare Administration that plays a central role in developing and ensuring the quality of operations. We offer service, advice, and support both to citizens and to the various operations of the administration.
Our mission is to drive development through good collaboration, knowledge support, and effective working methods. We work closely with the political organization and are responsible for supporting the implementation of political assignments as well as other strategic tasks within the administration.
Job Responsibilities
As an archive assistant with us, you will work to organize, catalog, and archive documents according to current legislation. You will weed materials and prepare documents for delivery to the final archive (Central Archive) as well as support the operations in matters related to document management and archives. The work includes both analog and digital records and involves a responsibility to ensure confidentiality and information security. You will also handle the release of documents to both authorities and individuals and perform other tasks that occur in the social services' local archive.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a high school education, preferably with an administrative focus
- Has experience in archive work, document management, or administrative work
- Has good knowledge of public access and secrecy legislation (meritorious)
- Has good computer skills and is quick to learn new systems
- Expresses themselves well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Approximately 2500 employees work in the Welfare Administration. The administration is governed by the Welfare Committee based on the administration's operational idea - “Together we facilitate people's ability to live a meaningful life” - we work to achieve the municipality's vision: We build best together.
In connection with the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Accepted documents are Passport, International ID card, Driver's license + personal certificate from the tax office, or another ID document that strengthens citizenship.
We welcome language skills in Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both Finnish and Sami administrative areas.
In our municipality, a number of positions are placed in security class, so a security review may take place. These positions require Swedish citizenship.
