We at Kiwa are now looking for an engaged and technically skilled Welding and Manufacturing Inspector to join our team in Stockholm. You will play an important role in ensuring the safety of pressure equipment in the Stockholm area, a task of great significance for both our customers and society.

About the role:

Kiwa is looking for a new welding and manufacturing inspector who wants to be part of Kiwa's development journey. You enjoy working flexibly and with a focus on quality to help customers operate in safe environments. In your role as a welding inspector, you will act as a welding supervisor during personnel certification and procedure qualification. You will also perform visual inspections of welds and preferably non-destructive testing such as radiography. We expect you to have basic knowledge of welding and how the most common welding methods work.

As a manufacturing inspector, you will carry out inspections of weld repairs, new manufacturing, and modifications on pressure equipment. The inspections are performed according to AFS 2023:11, AFS 2023:5, and harmonized standards for pressure vessels, pipelines, and boilers. At Kiwa, “freedom under responsibility” is a recurring theme, and you plan your jobs directly with the customer, thus having great opportunities to plan your own work. We are now looking for someone who is curious and enjoys working closely with customers in a varied environment.

The position involves daily travel as assignments are usually performed on-site at the customer's location. Your base location is Solna.

Do you have what it takes?

We are looking for someone who is curious, responsible, and enjoys meeting people. You thrive in working independently but also appreciate collaboration and being part of a team. You are meticulous, structured, and confident in making your own decisions.

We would like you to have:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the welding industry, e.g., welder, welding supervisor, or team leader.
  • Technical high school education
  • Material and welding knowledge – understanding of welding methods and material properties
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Driving license B

It is strongly meritorious if you have IWS, IWT, or IWE. It is also advantageous if you have authorization or experience in inspection or non-destructive testing.

What can you expect from us in return?

Kiwa is currently one of the most successful companies in inspection, testing, certification, and technical consulting, thanks to our employees who contribute safety and sustainability to our customers and society through their engagement and knowledge. Therefore, Kiwa invests heavily in its employees and their development. Through your daily work, interesting projects, and training, you and your skills will constantly develop as part of Kiwa! With us, teamwork is important, and together we create a positive work environment where we are all part of a larger community, the Kiwa community!

  • Stable conditions - Kiwa has a collective agreement
  • Generous wellness allowance
  • Compensation for, among other things, medical care, vaccinations, and the opportunity for a thorough health analysis
  • A time bank so you can take time off when you want - not just when the calendar's red days occur
  • The opportunity to join Kiwa's ski trip with about 100 wonderful colleagues
