Your working day – developing our properties at embassies and consulates
The Property Unit at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs (MFA) is responsible for premises, logistics, interior design, and security technical matters at all Swedish embassies and consulates. The unit works on rental negotiations and the development of properties rented by the Swedish National Property Board or local property owners abroad. The unit consists of 26 employees.
To the group for property management and security technology, we are now looking for a property administrator with experience in driving and being responsible for own projects. The group works on issues regarding maintenance of the foreign missions' premises; chancelleries and official residences as well as integrated embassy complexes with a focus on sustainability, security, cost-effectiveness, and operational adaptation.
You will be responsible for approximately 30 foreign missions regarding premises supply, property management, and security adaptations, and contribute to the strategic renewal work of our premises. The assignment includes travel abroad as the group is responsible for all leased properties of the foreign service at around a hundred locations worldwide.
Your background – property manager with project management experience
You have a degree in engineering or equivalent, or alternatively post-secondary education with a focus on property, and have experience in practical property work at a government agency or company, as well as at least 5 years of experience in property management. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and good knowledge of the Office package. You have experience in driving your own projects and are accustomed to coordinating tasks. Experience of working abroad and knowledge of the MFA's operations are meritorious.

You should have good cooperation skills and have a practical and operational approach combined with integrity and good judgment. You are structured, analytical, quality-conscious, meticulous, solution-oriented, and can adapt to changed conditions and new environments.

We offer a permanent position starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible after agreement. The applicant is expected to have the possibility to regularly undertake official travel to Swedish foreign missions, including to locations with high security threats. The position is classified for security clearance, and a security investigation with register check is conducted before an employment offer is given. Swedish citizenship is required for the position. Your workplace is located in the Government Offices district in central Stockholm.
