About the role

As EL13R's first dedicated Design Manager, you will hold a key position in a growing company. You will start operationally by preparing documentation, designs, and drawings for our projects within DC charging, energy storage, and power installations in low- and high voltage, with elements of calculation. But this is just the beginning.

We are currently building our design capacity, and we need someone who wants to be part of that journey. This means you will not only have freedom under responsibility in your daily work but also the opportunity to influence how we develop our processes, which tools we use, and what the team will look like in the future. With the right person in place, there is room to recruit colleagues and grow into a clear management role.

Responsibilities:

• Build the design department – shape working methods, processes, and documentation from scratch.
• Recruit and lead – eventually hire colleagues and develop into a management role.
• Prepare documentation for quotations.
• Create system drawings for our most common types of installations.
• Project engineering and electrical design for projects within DC charging, energy storage, and power installations in low- and high voltage.
• Prepare complete drawing documentation.
• Contact with customers and suppliers.
• Support colleagues on-site during installations and commissioning.
• Project management of selected projects may occur.
• Prepare relationship documents at the end of projects.
• Travel is involved, including overnight stays.

Your profile:

What we believe you bring to the table:

• Relevant technical education in power engineering, electrical design, or similar.
• You want to take responsibility, lead others, and develop working methods.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical design, with good knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD or similar, and good knowledge of dimensioning using Elvis, Febdok, Netkoll, or equivalent systems.
• Strong ability to work independently as well as excellent collaboration skills.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
• Valid driver's license (Category B), travel is part of the role.
• Knowledge of power systems and related standards, as well as experience drawing single-line diagrams; previous experience in designing switchgear is an advantage.

Additional qualifications

• Experience with Bidcon or similar calculation programs.
• Good knowledge of Excel.
• Good knowledge of Bluebeam.
• Experience in the design of control cabinets/relay protection or similar technical solutions.
• Relay protection programming and relay protection testing are advantageous.
• Testing and commissioning of power plants are advantageous.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in power engineering or an equivalent relevant education.
