Welcome to Närhälsan Torpavallen health center, we are looking for someone interested in working with us as a nurse.

The health center is a pleasant, well-functioning, and friendly workplace located in Örgryte/Härlanda, a quiet area in eastern Gothenburg. The workplace is characterized by openness, care for the patient, willingness to develop, and collaboration across professional boundaries. We have about 11,000 registered individuals, of which a relatively large proportion are children and middle-aged individuals. Our mission also includes medical services at BVC, nursing homes, disability housing, and home care.

About the job

Your tasks at the health center span a wide range of responsibilities and cover the general medical field where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treating in first-line care, both via phone, home visits, digital care meetings, and at the clinic.

The work takes place through both acute and planned activities. You work largely independently with your own clinic where you triage, treat, and follow up patients. Close collaboration occurs with your colleagues in the unit and cross-professionally in the team, but also together with other actors such as home care and other specialist care. Together with the health center management, you are responsible for developing and driving the business forward. Training future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so supervision of students is also included as part of your role at the health center.

About you

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training as a district nurse. It is also meritorious if you have additional training in Diabetes of at least 15 higher education credits and/or experience from working in primary care.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize among your tasks.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you enjoy teamwork and have a natural ability to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts in your work. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and visits to the clinic. We also hope you have an interest in digitization and business development.

Travel in service may occur, a B driver's license is required.

About the recruitment process

Selection is done in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call relevant candidates for a phone interview. After that, the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the result was.
