Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

Your Future Workplace

The Operating Department at Alingsås Hospital is part of the An/Op/IVA business area and has about 80 employees working in anesthesia, surgery, post-op, and sterilization.

We perform everything from simple day surgery procedures to extensive surgery, both planned and emergency. We offer a wide range of services in orthopedics, surgery, urology, ENT, pediatrics, and pacemaker insertions, making the work varied and stimulating. We work systematically with patient flows and processes to provide our patients with high availability and good, safe care.

As an anesthetic nurse, you are an important part of the surgical team and work together with operators, anesthetic nurses, nursing assistants, and anesthetists in the operating room. You need to be flexible and able to work at a varying pace. You work independently, but you have the whole team in close collaboration to provide good and safe care during the patient's surgery.

In the role of anesthetic nurse, external assignments such as IV placements on difficult-to-stick patients, assisting in emergencies at the emergency department, and transporting critically ill patients to other hospitals are also included.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialized training in anesthetic care. Previous experience as an anesthetic nurse is an advantage.

Your perspective is characterized by care for people, and you have a good ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams.

Conditions

The working hours are mainly scheduled during the day from Monday to Friday, and you are off on weekends and public holidays. When you are ready, evening, weekend, and on-call duties will be included (about one evening every other week and every 5th weekend, Saturday or Sunday) as we take care of our emergency patients.
