About Us

Welcome to Närhälsan Kärra Health Center! We are located in Norra Hisingen, near central Gothenburg, Kungälv, and Angered.

We are a well-functioning health center with 9,443 registered patients, stable staffing, and good finances. The health center is located close to Kärra center, next to beautiful nature and within walking distance from the commuter station, as well as free parking.

Our team includes general practitioners, resident doctors, district nurses, nursing assistants, psychologists, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical secretaries. We offer nurse consultations in diabetes, asthma/COPD, medical consultations, child health care, and laboratory services. We provide our patients with health coaching conversations for support in making changes and guidance towards healthy lifestyles. We are responsible for elderly care and LSS activities and collaborate closely with Kungälv Hospital.

Together with the team leader and manager, we are 26 employees. We have a helpful approach with great commitment and joy at work. About the Job

Your tasks at the health center span a wide field and cover the general medical area where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treatment-oriented in primary care, both via phone, home visits, digital care meetings, and at the clinic.

The work involves both acute and planned activities. You work largely independently with your own clinic where you triage, treat, and follow up with patients. Close collaboration occurs with colleagues in the unit and cross-professionally in the team, as well as together with other actors such as home care and other specialist care. Together with the manager, you are responsible for developing and driving the unit forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, therefore supervision of students is included as part of your role at the health center.

About You

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training as a district nurse. It is advantageous if you have experience working in primary care and/or have supervisor training of 7.5 credits, but we also welcome you as a recent graduate.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize among your tasks.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you enjoy teamwork and have the ability to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts in your work. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are an engaged and good listener during digital meetings and visits at the clinic. We would also like you to have an interest in digitalization and organizational development.

About the Recruitment Process

The selection process consists of two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who invite relevant candidates for a phone interview. After that, the recruiting manager makes a second selection from the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
