About our open position

We are now looking for a nurse to join our fantastic team who wants to contribute and gain broad knowledge in general surgical emergency care.

A decision has been made to increase our care capacity. After the increase, we will have 28 care places distributed across 4 modules. You will receive a personalized introduction based on your needs and knowledge level. We work efficiently with team and improvement efforts where you can contribute.

Working hours are around the clock with individual schedule planning.

We are pleased to offer senior nurses who provide you with secure support both during your introduction and ongoing for your continued development. Our senior nurses identify training needs based on your requirements and follow up and develop our working methods, routines, and guidelines.

About us

Our surgical emergency department (KAVA) is a broad general surgical emergency care unit. We receive most acute patients with a surgical diagnosis. We work with rapid investigations and examinations to meet our patients' care needs and treatments. Admissions occur around the clock, and we have close collaboration with the emergency department and our other surgical ward. Our mission also includes caring for elective patients with colorectal diagnoses, focusing primarily on postoperative care. Our mix consists of both younger and older patients, as well as short and longer stays around the acute patients to the somewhat longer stays for the elective colorectal patients.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a Swedish nursing license and at least four months of experience in the profession with an interest in surgical emergency care. Experience in surgical care is an advantage. To fit into our team, you should be easy to collaborate with, have a flexible working style, and the ability to build good relationships. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
