About Us

Närhälsan Tuve health center is a well-established clinic in Hisingen with approximately 10,700 registered patients.

Our goal is to be the obvious workplace for you who have a strong commitment and want to truly change Swedish primary care.

We have general practitioners, ST and AT doctors, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries working with us. We also have three psychologists working at the health center. Our supervisors are recognized as skilled and highly appreciated. We also have a child health clinic and family center in the same premises.

About the Job

Your main tasks consist of assessing and treating mental and behavioral health issues based on the primary care mission. The focus is on preventive and early interventions, based on common reasons for seeking care at a health center. You will work based on the needs of the registered population with digital care meetings, internet and group therapy, as well as physical individual visits.

We work based on primary care-oriented methods, where the work includes high accessibility, stepwise/stratified care, and collaboration with other professionals and care neighbors. It is important that you have an interest in working in primary care, which means prioritizing high accessibility for all residents with mental and behavioral health issues. Interventions range from psychoeducation and self-care advice to guided treatment with literature or internet treatment, to group therapy or individual treatment interventions. To meet the needs of the entire patient population, the ability to vary methods and the scope of treatment interventions is required.

You and your colleagues are jointly responsible with the health center manager for the development of the health center in an ongoing improvement process. Supervision of psychology candidates or PTP psychologists may be relevant.

About You

You are a licensed psychologist with CBT step 1 competence; other specializations may of course be relevant. It is an advantage if you have experience in the following:

  • Working as a psychologist at the primary care level
  • Stepwise/stratified care
  • Internet-based psychological treatment
  • Group therapy
  • Other clinical experience

We are looking for someone who is attentive and accommodating, with good communication skills and the ability to identify individuals' unique needs. Through initiative and active engagement, you want to participate in the development work of the organization and contribute as a consultative resource in the daily interdisciplinary collaboration at the health center.

About the Recruitment Process

Selection takes place in two stages. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who invite relevant candidates for a phone interview. Thereafter, the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalized answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
