About us

The Plastic Surgery department conducts general plastic surgery and highly specialized care, encompassing regional and national care with a special focus on microsurgery, breast surgery, advanced wound care, craniofacial surgery, and cleft lip and palate surgery as well as gender dysphoria.

Today, twelve employees work at the Plastic Surgery clinic. A senior physician is attached to the clinic. We have a close collaboration with the Administrative unit and with Operation 6. The clinic's opening hours are daytime Monday to Friday.

We are currently seeking two dedicated nurses who want to be part of a service with great variety and high competence. At the clinic, we work with both adults and children for medical assessments or independent nurse consultations. We have an outpatient operating room where we perform surgeries daily. The clinic is also connected to a photography unit with two medical photographers. We also have two full-time psychologists working with us.

Job Responsibilities

Clinic work with independent wound care consultations and assisting in outpatient surgeries as well as physician consultations. You will also staff the advisory phone for patients, referrers, and primary care.

If you are new, you will have a mentor for at least four weeks with an experienced colleague. You will never work alone with us, and there is always someone to ask as we value strong collaboration among colleagues. The clinic has several areas of responsibility where team-oriented work is essential. We work in newly renovated premises adapted for our operations.

About you

You who are applying should be a licensed nurse, and we would also like you to have some years of experience in surgical operations. If you have experience in wound care, it is an advantage, as is experience in clinic work. It is also desirable that you have knowledge of Elvis and Melior.

We are looking for someone who is interested in working independently but can also collaborate with various professional groups. You are flexible and have the ability to shift work pace and focus. In your interactions with both patients and colleagues, you have an open and empathetic approach. We believe that you, as an applicant, are interested in development and work towards continuous improvement as we are a good team working together to develop our operations. If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introduction program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes lectures, nursing supervision, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. In addition, it also includes service in at least two different departments to broaden your competence.

In the event of recruitment of nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish licenses/specialist certificates.
