Summer Job with Warm Guarantee – Become a Master of Meetings!

As a summer substitute, you help the elderly live a good and independent life. This can involve:

• Support in daily life (food, care, personal hygiene, activities)
• Being a safe companion
• Creating meaningful moments

This is a joint advertisement for all summer jobs within elderly care in the City of Gothenburg. We have workplaces throughout Gothenburg, and when you apply, you can choose the area that suits you best.

HOME CARE

Here you help and support individuals in their own homes. You travel either on foot, by bike, or by car. In your work, you receive information about visits on your mobile phone, where you also document what you have done.

• Emergency Alarm Home Care - Here you work together with a colleague and assist individuals with urgent needs. A driver's license and driving experience are required.
• Night Home Care - You provide support to individuals at night, together with a colleague. A driver's license and driving experience are also required here.
• Finnish-speaking Home Care - Work in home care - in Finnish.
• Sign Language Home Care - Work in home care with individuals who use sign language.

CARE AND SUPPORT HOUSING (Elderly Housing)

Here you work together with colleagues to support and assist the elderly who live in their own apartments but under the same roof. You work in teams and create meaningful days for the tenants.

• Short-term Unit - Those living in a short-term unit often have greater care needs. Care-related education or experience is required.
• Sign Language | Åkerhus Care and Support Housing and Home Care - You help and support individuals with hearing impairments by using sign language.
• Finnish | Glöstorpshöjdens and Lövgärdets Care and Support Housing - Here you work with Finnish-speaking tenants.

SOUTHERN ARCHIPELAGO

Do you want to work close to the sea in a beautiful archipelago environment? Then you can choose to apply for the Southern Archipelago when you make your application.

In the Southern Archipelago, there is an opportunity to work in home care or at the Southern Archipelago's care and support housing.

The boat trip here takes about 15 minutes from Saltholmen's pier. You must be at Saltholmen by 06:00 to take the boat to Styrsö for a morning shift.

Qualifications

Are you curious about people? With us, you meet many people in your work, so we are looking for you who is a team player who shows consideration and respect. In meetings with others, you are open, positive, and work with care. The days with us are varied, so you need to be able to shift focus and be flexible. You work according to a schedule where you work during the day and evening or at night. As a summer substitute in elderly care, you also work on weekends.

If you have education or experience in healthcare, it is an advantage but not a requirement. When you start working with us, you will receive introduction and training.

To work with us, you need to:

• Be at least 18 years old before June 1, 2026.
• Provide an extract from the police's criminal record, what is called checking your own information. Order via Police (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/kontrollera-dina-uppgifter-i-belastningsregistret/). The ordered extract must be unopened.
• Provide a valid identification document (passport/national ID card/residence permit).
• Have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Requirements for certain services:

• For positions within home care, you should be able to cycle and be willing to use a bike/e-bike in your work.
• For positions within the night/emergency unit of home care, a B driver's license and driving experience are required. In other home care positions, it is an advantage.
• For positions within the deaf unit, you should be able to use sign language.
• For positions where Finnish is used, you should be comfortable communicating in Finnish.
