Job Advertisement: Nursing Assistant at Närhälsan Älvängen Health Center

Närhälsan offers close primary care of the highest quality. With hundreds of clinics in Västra Götaland, we are close to the residents throughout their lives and make a difference for their health. We value you and offer development throughout your professional life.

About Us

Närhälsan Älvängen Health Center is a stable and well-functioning unit with competent and experienced staff.

We have approximately 7,700 patients registered. We offer a wide range of services including urgent care, planned doctor appointments, child health care (BVC), and several nurse clinics, including those focused on diabetes and asthma/COPD. The health center also has a psychosocial team with a psychologist, CBT therapist, and rehabilitation coordinator. Our BVC is located in newly built premises and is part of the Älvbarnens family center in Älvängen.

Älvängen is a pleasant and growing locality with good communications. The health center is centrally located, close to the Göta River and with easy access to both train and bus, making commuting smooth from both Gothenburg and Trollhättan.

We actively work with development and improvement to meet the needs of our patients. Here, we value good service, close collaboration, and a work environment where both staff and patients can thrive. Please read more about Närhälsan's benefits and opportunities on our website: narhalsan.se (https://narhalsan.se)

About the Job

Your tasks at the health center will be varied with a focus on the patient. The work includes independent tasks in the laboratory with sampling and controls. You will assist doctors with wound injuries and minor surgeries, as well as perform common examinations such as blood pressure measurements and EKG tests. Areas of work such as wound dressings, suture removal, and managing your own nurse reception may also be included. You will work both independently and as part of a team with other staff categories at the health center. Ordering supplies and preparing examination rooms are part of the daily work. We use the Asynja Visph journal system.

About You

You have documented training as a nursing assistant. You have previous experience working at a health center and with venous blood sampling. It is an advantage if you have prior experience with wound dressings, suture removal, blood pressure measurements, and managing your own nursing reception. Previous experience in reception work is desirable as some tasks may be arranged in the reception by agreement.

In your work, you will meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you enjoy teamwork and have a natural ability to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts in your work. The workload is varied and can be high at times, so it is important that you have a good ability to prioritize your tasks and be flexible.

A professional approach and good service towards customers, patients, and colleagues is a given for you. We also see that you live up to Närhälsan's core values: Reliable, Caring, and Innovative.
