Description

As a teaching assistant in grades 7–9, you will be an important part of the school's daily work to create safety and study peace for the students. You will work closely with mentors, teachers, and other student health staff to support students in their learning and social development. The tasks include following and supporting the conducted teaching, providing individual support in the classroom, and if necessary, working outside the classroom environment to create conditions for each student to reach their goals.

Tasks may include:

• Supporting students in classroom situations to promote concentration, participation, and task completion.

• Implementing planned measures according to individual support plans and collaborating on action programs.

• Collaborating with teachers, mentors, and student health to coordinate support measures.

• Observing and documenting the student's development and contributing information at student meetings.

• Creating a safe and predictable environment through clear routines and respectful interactions.

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience working with children and youth, preferably in a school environment or other educational activities.

• Has a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written forms and communicates clearly with students and colleagues.

• Is confident, attentive, and has a respectful approach towards students and guardians.

• Can work both independently and in a team, and is flexible and solution-oriented.

• Has the ability to create structure and clarity in everyday life for students with different needs.

Qualifications

Relevant education in pedagogy or experience in student support activities is an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, commitment, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues in student-centered work.
