Experienced System Developer for the Future's IT Systems Responsibilities
We are strengthening our IT organization and increasing the pace of innovation at the Swedish Transport Administration with a senior system developer for ICT digitalization and road systems (Information and Communication Technology). You will be part of team ATK, which among other things works with IT systems for our automatic traffic safety cameras located along our state roads.
In this role, you will work closely with your team and drive the development of today and tomorrow, where you together have great opportunities to influence. The assignment is complex, and you will play an important role in collaborating with the organization to understand and analyze how requirements, architecture, and technical solutions are designed and developed over time.
The work has a clear backend focus, requires a good overall perspective, and is characterized by collaboration and an agile working method.
At the Swedish Transport Administration, you will be offered good development opportunities and many career paths internally.
Your work also involves:
- writing maintainable code that is used daily by a large number of users
- having an open dialogue with the utilizing organization and external stakeholders
- finding and implementing improvements in both existing and upcoming systems
- working with automation of testing and deployments
The location for the position is Borlänge or Örebro.
In this recruitment, web-based tests are used as part of the selection process. Interviews will be conducted digitally via Skype and are planned to take place during week 11.

QualificationsWho are you?

You have the ability to see things in a broader context and are eager to make new contacts that contribute to common goals and sustainable solutions in the long term.
We are looking for someone who has
- a university or college degree of 180 credits (120 points) with a focus on IT. Alternatively, other education combined with relevant work experience that we assess as equivalent
- many years of current and relevant work experience in system development throughout the entire chain; requirements specification, design, programming, testing, and deployment
- several years of current work experience in programming within the Microsoft platform with C# and .NET
- relevant and current experience in software architecture
- good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
It is advantageous if you have
- work experience with SQL
- practical experience with Azure DevOps/TFS
- practical experience with container technology (Kubernetes, Redhat Openshift, etc.)
- practical experience with automation (deployment and/or test automation)
