IT Manager for Clinical Pathology and Cytology in Växjö
Clinical Pathology and Cytology in Växjö examines tissue and cell samples from all over Kronoberg County. The operations also include mortuary and autopsy services. About 35 employees work here – biomedical analysts, doctors, cytodiagnosticians, laboratory assistants, and autopsy technicians – together to provide patients with the best possible care.
We are in a development phase with increased digitization and modernization of our workflows within image processing, diagnostics, and laboratory systems – and are now looking for someone who wants to help drive this forward.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of IT Manager is independent, and you will make your own decisions. You will provide technical support to the staff and act as a link between the clinic, the region's IT organization, and external suppliers.
As an IT specialist with us, you will play a central role in supporting and developing the IT systems that are crucial for the pathology operations. You will:
- Be responsible for IT systems and also be involved in an overall system responsibility for our laboratory-specific data systems for the laboratory in Växjö.
- Participate in development projects for digital diagnostics, image storage, automation, and AI support in pathology.
- Develop documentation, procedures, risk analyses, and contribute to increased IT maturity in the organization. Manage and optimize our Laboratory Information System (LIS).
Working hours are during office hours on weekdays.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should have a university degree in a relevant IT field and be proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of laboratory operations is highly desirable but not a requirement. We work with, for example, FlexLabSympathy and Visiopharm. The work includes management and development of operation-specific systems, being responsible for integrations between instruments and systems, and participating in procurements.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has good communication skills and is used to leading and working in projects
- Has very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing at level C2
- Is responsible, works in a structured manner, and enjoys when the work pace is high during certain periods
- Learns quickly and is proactive in change and development work
- Is easy to collaborate with and brings joy to the team
- Can work independently and make their own decisions
- Has a strong understanding of customer needs and a desire to continuously improve the quality of our work
