Do you want to work with operations and infrastructure in a complex and socially critical IT environment? Växjö Municipality is looking for a system technician who wants to contribute to high availability, security, and efficiency in our modern Microsoft-based platform. As a system technician in the IT and digitalization department of Växjö Municipality, you will be part of the Operations and Systems Technology unit, where you and your colleagues are responsible for the operation, management, and further development of the municipality's infrastructure. The group works with infrastructure, IT security, client management, and operational systems that are central functions for the municipality's activities.

About the position

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with technical platforms that ensure that the municipality's socially critical functions are maintained. The focus is on infrastructure and basic platform services, where you will have a broad and varied assignment in a dynamic and challenging environment. You will actively contribute to ensuring high operational reliability, stability, and efficiency, while developing in line with the modernization and growth of our IT environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and further development of our Microsoft-based server environment
• Proactively work to ensure availability, security, and efficiency
• Participate in the development and improvement of processes, working methods, and technical solutions
• Collaborate closely with architects, service managers, developers, and the support organization

About you

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant post-secondary education in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Several years of experience in systems technology and operations in complex and larger IT environments
• Deep technical expertise in Windows Server, virtualization, backup, networking, IIS, and databases
• Experience with Microsoft's cloud services, such as Azure and M365
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Experience in automation in large-scale environments
• Specialized skills and/or certifications in any of the role's technical areas
