Step 1 - Education: Experis training in collaboration with Fortnox

Experis and Fortnox Academy offer you a job that begins with intensive training in areas of system development and then consulting assignments and specialization at Fortnox in Växjö.

Experis Academy is part of the IT consulting company Experis, which in turn is part of the international Manpower Group. Our training programs have grown and developed over the years, both in Sweden, the Nordics, and throughout Europe. We work a lot with coaching to give our employees the opportunity to complement their technical skills with soft skills.

Step 2 - Specialization period: Your role as a developer

As a developer at Fortnox, you work in cross-functional teams and create sustainable, high-quality solutions that are easy to further develop. You work with developers, test engineers, product designers, and product owners, giving you insight into the entire development process and the opportunity to broaden your technical competence. Collaboration is a natural part of everyday life - pair programming, code reviews, and joint forums such as sprint planning and retrospectives contribute to strong teams, high code quality, and continuous development. Through close feedback and knowledge sharing, both you and the team develop every day.

In summary, your tasks will include:

• Design, implementation, and improvement: Actively participate in the design and implementation of new features and continuously work to improve and rectify issues in the code.
• Code review: Review and ensure the quality of code.
• Testing: Write and maintain automated tests to ensure the system's stability and functionality.
• Teamwork: Support team members as needed and contribute to a positive and well-functioning team.
• Improvement work: Suggest and implement improvements in daily work.

Technologies and tools you will delve into include: Intellij or VS Code, GitHub Copilot or Claude Code, Kubernetes, Jira, GitHub, Sonarqube, Grafana, Java (RxJava/Spring Boot), relational databases (Postgres), Javascript/Html/CSS, React, PHP, Backbone.js.

You will receive a mentor who welcomes and helps you on-site at Fortnox during your specialization period. You will also participate in an onboarding for new employees where you will go through a number of tasks and training to better understand the domain.

In addition to this, we envision that you:

• Have completed a higher university or college education in software engineering, computer science, system science, or equivalent.
• Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
• Can work onsite at the office in Växjö (you will also have the opportunity to work partially from home, but we expect you to want and be able to work at the office).

Do you have previous work experience? General work experience is always positive, and it is also meritorious if you have previously worked in IT.
