About Skölsta Preschool

Skölsta is a preschool located close to nature yet near the city. We currently have 56 children and 9 educators. We work in project groups based on the children's interests. We spend time outdoors daily, both in the yard and in the adjacent forests. Our proximity to nature also provides us with fantastic opportunities for learning and play outdoors, all year round.

Job Description

In your role, you will work as a resource in a group of children aged 1-3 years. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for having constant presence by the child's side throughout the day. Work preventively by being attentive to the child's signals, needs, and emotional state. Create a safe and predictable learning environment through routines, calm responses, and clear structure. Support the child in transitions between activities. Use signs as support consistently in teaching, conversations, and instructions. Prepare, use, and maintain relevant visual support in everyday life.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained preschool teacher. The job requires that you have experience working with children in need of special support. We also see that you have experience working with signs as support and using visual aids.

As a person, you are outgoing and socially active in professional contexts. You have the ability to understand others' perspectives and from that understand their actions. The job suits you if you have an understanding of people's different conditions for absorbing knowledge in various ways. Additionally, you have good judgment and can make wise decisions and prioritize correctly based on complex information.
