Every day, the Tenants' Association, its elected representatives, employees, and members contribute to improving housing for people. We have been doing this for many years, and we want to continue advocating for tenants' interests, rights, and opportunities to influence their housing in the future.

As a grassroots developer, you are a key person in our work to strengthen and develop our membership movement. You work closely with members and elected representatives to create engagement and participation in residential areas. As a grassroots developer, you will work with:

• Conducting outreach work in residential areas – by meeting tenants, creating meetings, and organizing and leading local activities and training.
• Creating conditions and promoting increased engagement, influence, and new local organizing, together with tenants, members, and other stakeholders.
• Developing collaborations with landlords, housing companies, municipalities, and other actors to reach new target groups and strengthen the organization's significance.
• Supporting and strengthening local organizing, elected representatives, and tenant influence.

As a grassroots developer, you belong to the Grassroots & Engagement department and will work closely with 15 colleagues in the department.

We operate throughout our region, and the position includes travel with varying frequency as well as evening work.

You have:

• Good experience working independently, managing projects, and collaborating with others.
• Excellent communication skills, primarily in speech but also in writing.
• Good computer skills.

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Experience working in member-driven organizations or the service sector.
• A university degree in relevant subject areas.

The position is a 12-month fixed-term full-time employment with immediate start.

The Tenants' Association is divided into nine regions across the country. The work and needs may vary depending on the geographical area. All regions coordinate the efforts needed for their respective districts, and all expertise is gathered here in the form of lawyers, negotiators, and business developers. As an organization, we are passionate about everyone having the right to good housing at a reasonable cost.

Region Västra Sverige has over 67,000 members, of which about 1,600 are active as elected representatives and about 80 are employees. The regional office is located in Gothenburg.
