Djuråsskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 540 students and an after-school program.

We place great emphasis on safety and study peace and have a well-functioning safety team that systematically works with these issues. With us, all students should feel that they can be themselves. Our students thrive and develop at their school, thanks to our dedicated staff. We now need a physical education teacher for the younger grades, initially for the remainder of the spring term.

In Gagnef Municipality, we have predominantly qualified teachers in our schools, which we are very proud and happy about. We continuously offer professional development to enhance teaching. Some of our schools host students from teacher training programs, an exchange that enriches us with new research on school development.

We strive for close collaboration in the work teams around the students to create safe and inclusive learning environments for all children. We invest in developing student health work, a responsibility that we all share as educators. Students in grades 3-9 have 1-1 computers, and other classes use iPads in their teaching.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct teaching as a physical education teacher for the younger grades and adapt the learning environment based on each student's individual needs. Your tasks include planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work based on the school's governing documents and the student's needs and interests, both individually and together with the work team. Together with the work team, you contribute to creating a holistic approach around the student. The position may include teaching at Bäsna School for grades 1-3. Mentorship is also part of the role as a teacher with us.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with qualifications in physical education, possibly in combination with another subject for grades 1-6. You have good IT skills, and it is an advantage if you have knowledge of using digital tools in a learning process. It is important that you have a good understanding of children's and adolescents' knowledge development, and knowledge of NPF is a merit.

To succeed as a teacher, you should have good leadership skills, pedagogical insight, and the ability to collaborate. It is also important that you are structured, flexible, and self-driven.

Conditions

100% temporary position for spring term 2026, with immediate start or by agreement. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the recruitment period.

Before employment, a teaching license and a valid extract from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record must be presented.
