JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Now you have the chance to come and work in expanding Växjö and be part of the Department of Children and Family. We can offer you an opportunity to perform social work alongside engaged and knowledgeable colleagues, in a department with high ambitions regarding quality, organization, and results. In the role of specialist, focusing on HVB placements, your main tasks will be to identify suitable placement options for children, youth, and their parents, including protective placements. You will be the one in the department who has good knowledge of the HVB homes and protective accommodations available in our framework agreement. You will also have knowledge of procedures for direct procurement and be responsible for monitoring current HVB and protective accommodations prior to placements, e.g., in relation to IVO and reference municipalities. We use the Signs and Safety approach, which permeates our planning for HVB placements. This means that we want there to be a thought about what is required for the young person to be able to move home again from the very first placement day, and you contribute with important knowledge. You will be tasked with supporting social workers and unit managers during the placement period by taking responsibility for structured and continuous follow-up.
The role also includes having knowledge, responsibility, and control over costs for placements of children and youth. Managing discussions and inquiries related to finances both with suppliers and managers. You will be part of a referral body in Open Care.
As a specialist focusing on placements, you will be part of the Home Plan Team in our open care. You will work closely with our support and investigation units but with a special insight into our open care to also be part of building support at home and creating good conditions for children and youth to be able to move home again.

QUALIFICATIONS
To fit in the role, you need to have previous experience working within the authority for children and youth and preferably have experience handling placements. You should have an interest in systematic quality work and be accustomed to working independently while appreciating the importance of good collaboration. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, where clarity, security, structure, and accountability are considered crucial qualities for success in the role.
