JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a support assistant within housing and support, working with individuals who have been granted assistance under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). This may involve physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities. The work includes providing pedagogical support and care to promote the individual's abilities and independence.

Your tasks include:

• Supporting the client with daily activities ranging from assistance with cooking, cleaning, personal care, hygiene, leisure activities to social and authority contacts.
• Supporting and developing the individual's communication skills.
• Documenting the individual's development and needs.

The work involves documenting the individual's development and needs. One purpose is to ensure that the individual receives the right support and assistance.

Working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, and sleeping on-call shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a reliable and attentive support assistant who supports both clients and your colleagues. Through clear communication, respect, and the ability to empower and motivate others, you contribute to a positive and developing environment.

• You have a recognized education from the healthcare and nursing program or the Child and Recreation program with a focus on social work, or another education/competence that the employer deems equivalent.
• You have at least 6 months of experience working with individuals with disabilities under LSS.
• You have documented work experience and knowledge of low-impact responses.
• You also have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

• Attentive and empathetic, with the ability to treat everyone with respect regardless of the situation. Professional in your interactions with clients, showing care and stability without letting their behaviors affect you personally.

• Flexible and adaptable, able to adjust both perspective and working methods when circumstances require it.
