OP Assistans is looking for personal assistants who want to work as on-call substitutes for two of our clients in Gävle. For the right person, the employment can lead to a permanent position in the future.

ABOUT THE JOB

Two assistants work at a time in the clients' shared home. One assistant with each client. A lot of time is spent together. However, the workday may also involve working separately, depending on the client's needs and agenda for the day. The work includes support with daily and social activities, personal care, and transfers. Pets are present in the home.

Examples of working hours: 07:30 - 19:00, 07:30 - 21:45, or 17:00 - 11:00

ABOUT THE CLIENTS

Our two clients are an active sibling pair in their 30s. They enjoy playing board games and traveling. They are interested in baking and cooking healthy food. They love animals and like horses. They often go to Köpis for coffee. The clients' wish is for the day to run smoothly without them having to think about assistance.

Both sisters are wheelchair users and use both manual wheelchairs and power chairs. The tasks here include transfers and personal care as well as daily activities such as cooking, laundry, and cleaning, etc. Since the girls are in wheelchairs, training and stretching are particularly important. As an assistant, you will also support some communication. One of their interests is electric floorball, where they sometimes get to travel to exciting tournaments.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

Your most important task as a personal assistant is to meet the client with respect, sensitivity, and warmth, and always uphold the client's wishes and integrity. You need to be attentive to the client's requests and have the ability and willingness to adapt to them. We are looking for someone who is responsible and works with the client in focus. Personal suitability is of great importance. The most important thing is that the chemistry between you and our clients works well. In addition to this, there are some requirements to be able to work here:

Requirements:

  • Experience in personal assistance

  • Driver's license (B)

  • Non-smoker during working hours

  • Very good knowledge of the Swedish language

  • Can work where there are pets in the home

  • Flexible regarding working hours and can work all hours of the day - including nights and weekends

  • Swim competent and tolerant of chlorinated water

  • Sufficient physical capacity to manage an active workplace

  • You are aware that the role requires strict confidentiality

It is also meritorious if you:

  • Have training in and/or experience of transfer techniques

OP Assistans currently has 55 clients and about 400 employees who are employed full-time or part-time. The office is located in central Gävle.

To be employed with us at OP Assistans, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you can present valid ID.
