What does the job as a residential support worker at Frösunda entail?

As a residential support worker, you will work in one of our homes to support, motivate, and stimulate the individual's own ability to perform daily life activities. You work to provide each customer with individually tailored support that helps them create structure, routines, and planning in their everyday life.

The residential support is granted for individuals with various types of disabilities, which is why the individuals' skills, needs, and development guide our efforts. The goal is to create conditions for an active and meaningful life in a safe and pleasant environment.

As an employee, you work based on a pedagogical and recovery-oriented approach. The operation is founded on respect for the customer's right to self-determination, influence, and integrity.

Examples of tasks:

  • Daily chores such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, making beds

  • Documentation and reporting

  • Outings, walks, exercise, and activities

  • Personal care such as medication, hygiene, showering, toilet visits, support, social presence

  • Support and motivate the customer for increased independence in their daily life

Working hours are scheduled according to the customers' needs and vary between day, evening, and night, both weekdays and weekends.

We are looking for staff for the following group homes: Stiftelsevägen, N Skeppargatan, S Slottsgatan, Allévägen 5B, and Allévägen 5C

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We would like you to enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. Additionally, you should be able to collaborate easily with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed.

  • We prefer you to be a nursing assistant, preschool teacher, or have another equivalent education.

  • Previous experience working with LSS or SoL social psychiatry is highly meritorious.

  • Knowledge of low-arousal approaches is an advantage.

  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.

  • We prefer you to have good physical ability.

  • A valid driver's license (required for certain positions).

Employment type: Hourly substitute and summer work on schedule

Extent: Part-time

Start date: Ongoing

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and positions may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a potential employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record. You also need to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
