Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We have a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Medical Secretary for the Elder Care Unit

We are looking for a medical secretary who enjoys varied tasks combined with regular writing and transcription. The position is a permanent full-time employment located in Uppsala, and a probationary period may apply. Start date is according to agreement.

Your Assignment

Your tasks mainly consist of writing medical records and providing administrative support. The work also includes telephone service, IT support, invoice management, schedule management in Heroma, various other administrative systems, and various administrative and practical tasks. You will also assist with some administration regarding the operation's vehicles. The responsibility as an administrator for the on-call service will exist for a limited time. As an administrator for the on-call service, you will handle administrative and practical issues as well as scheduling related to the on-call service. Additionally, parts of the SÄBO assignment are included, which is an administrative role covering various administrative aspects of the SÄBO locations in the Uppsala region.

The medical secretaries of the Elder Care Unit work closely with the medical secretary at the Mobile Care Team, and work may occur across organizational boundaries.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained medical secretary with several years of experience in the profession. You need to have good knowledge of MS Office programs, as well as other administrative programs used within Region Uppsala. We want you to have experience working with the medical record system Cosmic and have knowledge for registration according to DRG.

It is of utmost importance that you are service-oriented, meticulous, used to working independently, and take your own initiatives. You also have a good ability to collaborate and organize your work. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Our Operations

The Elder Care Unit is a high-quality and specialized service for elderly people in Uppsala municipality who need home care. Those over 65 years old, who are chronically ill and have significant difficulties getting to a health center can be referred to our doctors. The operation is conducted as a collaboration between Region Uppsala and all municipalities in Uppsala County. We receive our patients via referrals from Uppsala's health centers, from the municipality's home care, or other healthcare partners. We conduct both urgent and planned visits at our patients' homes and have a close collaboration with the home care nurses.

The Mobile Care Team consists of home visit teams with doctors and nurses who only work with home visits and share premises with the Elder Care Unit.
