Contract Controller Software/License

Do you want to help ensure that the Technical and Maintenance Office Command Systems has the contractual and supplier relationships required to operate within the Swedish Armed Forces' IT and command systems area? If so, we have a position for you – together we create economic and contractual conditions for the Armed Forces' command support systems.

FMTIS Technical and Maintenance Office Command Systems (TVK Ledsyst) has its main operations located in Enköping and is functionally led by the Armed Forces (FM) Headquarters. The unit's main task is to take responsibility for the Armed Forces' command support systems throughout their life cycle, from requirement specification to decommissioning, during peace, crisis, and war.

The position of Contract Controller Software/License at TVK Ledsyst is part of the 1st Contract Section located in Enköping. As a Contract Controller, you will work as part of a team but with responsibility for your own areas and contracts.

Main Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor acquired software/licenses and ensure consolidation and license utilization to minimize costs
  • Continuously monitor the use of software/licenses in the Armed Forces' IT and command support systems
  • Cost-effectively coordinate the procurement of software/licenses
  • Participate in meetings with suppliers according to the collaboration model
  • Provide support in planning, budgeting, and monitoring regarding software/license costs
  • Act as the primary contact point between the Armed Forces, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), and suppliers/manufacturers regarding software/licenses and contracts
  • Check and recommend handling during the transfer of software/licenses from FMV to the Armed Forces during system and material handovers
  • Together with FMLOG InkE (Procurement Unit) and FMV represent TVK Ledsyst in contractual matters and support the procurement process
  • If necessary, inform TVK Ledsyst and Armed Forces personnel about terms and procedures regarding software/licenses and associated contracts and identify and document areas for improvement in the contractual/supplier relationship

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Relevant education/experience focusing on law, IT, economics, or business law, or competencies deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Current experience in license management and contracts
  • Current experience in negotiations with suppliers
  • Familiarity with contract review and supplier follow-up
  • Experience in compliance with license terms
  • Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish and English

MERITORIOUS

  • Experience/knowledge of the Public Procurement Act, LOU, and the Procurement Act in the defense and security area, LUFS
  • Experience in contract management within the Armed Forces and/or FMV
  • Experience with open source licenses

Other

Employment type: Permanent. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.

Employment rate: Full-time.

Work location: Enköping, travel may occur.

Civilian position.

Start date: As soon as possible.

Individual salary setting applies within the framework of the salary target set by the Armed Forces for the position.
