Are you ready for a responsible and exciting role as a senior HR specialist in wage formation and salary review, in a complex organization with many different essential societal operations? Do you thrive on tasks that involve advising, negotiating, and developing? Then you might be the one we are looking for at Region Uppsala and the HR Law & Agreements unit.
What does the role entail?
In this position, you will work within the HR Law and Agreements unit, dealing with issues related to wage formation and the process surrounding the annual salary review. Other questions/tasks that arise within the unit may also be part of your assignment. Together with your colleagues in HR Law and Agreements, you will support HR partners and managers across all operations in Region Uppsala. You will, among other things, work on coordinating and developing the wage formation area, handling advice on the interpretation and application of wage agreements, leading and participating in union negotiations, developing and conducting training, and updating documentation and work materials. The assignment is both strategic and operational in nature. Collaboration with various parts of the HR organization, union representatives, and other functions in Region Uppsala is of great importance to the work. The position is centrally located at the Management Office, and you will report to the negotiation manager.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a university degree in personnel/HR or another relevant education for the position.
You have extensive experience in independently driving and managing processes related to wage formation and salary review and participating in/leading negotiations. You have a pedagogical and solution-focused approach and the ability to see the overall perspective in your work.
It is very valuable if you have previously worked in a region or a larger municipality and have good knowledge of the contractual regulations in that area. It is also an advantage if you have experience in HR work in a large organization.
You are a person with a developed ability to create good relationships and collaboration. You are confident in yourself and your knowledge, adapt to changes, and find it easy to prioritize as assignments vary in nature. Your analytical ability allows you to easily weigh complex information and demonstrate good judgment in action and decision-making. You are also good at expressing yourself in speech and writing.
About us
The HR department at the Regional Office works on behalf of the regional management and is responsible for overarching strategic HR work in Region Uppsala. The mission is to develop and provide qualitative and operational HR support based on the employer's political strategy.
In the HR Law and Agreements functional area, assignments related to labor law, negotiations, wage formation, salary review, union cooperation, and working hours are coordinated. The unit serves as an expert function in these areas. We monitor news and developments in labor law issues, share relevant information with other concerned functions, identify needs for and provide training, offer support and advice in labor law matters, and assist operations in labor law disputes.
