The Department of Earth Sciences is Sweden's largest and most versatile institution of its kind, with a unique breadth and approximately 300 employees.

The Centre for Environment and Development Studies, CEMUS, has been conducting student-driven education in the broad and interdisciplinary field of environment and sustainability since its inception in 1992. Job Responsibilities
The work involves planning, administration, implementation, and reporting of a university course. Your work is based on the course syllabus and is carried out together with a colleague and in close collaboration with guest lecturers, the course's working group (consisting of experienced university teachers, researchers, and professors), as well as course coordinators at CEMUS. The tasks include, among other things, contacting guest lecturers and students, planning the course structure, literature, preparing and conducting seminars, workshops, and course administration. The work includes creatively building on experiences from previous course iterations and passing on your own experiences to future assistants and course coordinators.

Qualifications
- Employment as an assistant is regulated by the Higher Education Ordinance Chapter 5. Only those who are admitted to and registered in education at the undergraduate or advanced level may be employed as assistants, and employment may correspond to a maximum of 50% of full working hours (HF Chapter 5 § 9 & 10).
- Good computer skills and good language skills in English, both spoken and written.
- For courses in Swedish (marked with * in the course list), good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are necessary.
- Documented ability to independently drive and complete tasks within given time frames, even during temporary work peaks.
- Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Desirable/meritorious
- Studies in sustainable development.
- Experience in interdisciplinary education.
- Experience in planning and leading workshops and seminars.
- Documented experience and good ability to collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds.
