Accounting Assistant for the Accounting Department, Simpleko
We are specialists in financial management for housing associations, community associations, and property owners. With digital tools and personal service, we make it easier for the board to keep track of the finances, make the right decisions, and plan for the long term. We have about 80 employees and are located in both Östersund and Uppsala. Our customers are spread across Sweden and number approximately 1,300, the majority of which are housing associations.
We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of accounting and finance, but who also has a passion for providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has a strong ability to handle numbers and is accustomed to working digitally.
Do you want to work at the management company with the most satisfied customers in the industry? Then Simpleko is the employer for you. We are growing and are therefore looking for another accounting assistant for our accounting department.
About Simpleko
Simpleko is a wholly owned subsidiary of Riksbyggen specializing in financial management. We provide services to approximately 1,300 customers – mainly housing associations – across Sweden, and our delivery is entirely digital. In addition to financial management, we have been handling additional fees for public transport on behalf of SL (Stockholm Public Transport) for several years. We have about 75 employees distributed across two offices, one in Uppsala and one in Östersund.
Job Responsibilities
You will work with accounting and be part of a team of 15 people handling accounts payable and loan ledgers, account reconciliations, salaries/fees, and contact with customers, suppliers, banks, etc. Although we often work in groups as a team and help each other with tasks, you are also expected to work independently as you will have your own customer responsibility and be the contact person for the boards of housing associations.
You have good opportunities to influence the operations and contribute suggestions for improvements and developments. We always work proactively and closely with our customers. Everyone in the group is expected to be involved in the continuous development of our processes, routines, and system support.
Qualifications
It is an advantage if you have previous experience working with accounting, are a confident user of the Office suite, and have experience working with various digital solutions. Our work is primarily digitized, which means we conduct digital meetings and presentations through Microsoft Teams, both internally and externally.
You can express yourself well both verbally and in writing and can adapt your language to the situation and audience, as well as have the ability to understand the needs and wishes of the recipient. You find it easy to communicate and collaborate with both customers and colleagues. It is important that you are a team player who enjoys working in a group and sees opportunities instead of obstacles. You are a structured administrator who is meticulous and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Personality is key.
You can stand up for our cornerstones: Trust, Cooperation, Engagement, and Accountability.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is willing to take on various tasks and responsibilities. If you are a self-driven person with a strong work ethic and a passion for both accounting and customer service, you are the person we are looking for!
Working Hours
Weekdays from 8 AM to 5 PM with the possibility of flexibility, and during summer time from June 15 to September 15 from 8 AM to 4 PM. We apply flexible working life, where there is the possibility to work from home up to 50% of the working time by agreement.
