Are you at the beginning of your career and want to contribute to Sweden's civil preparedness in an important and current issue? Then the role of Junior Preparedness Officer may be right for you!

Why the Swedish Food Agency?

As the sector-responsible authority, the Swedish Food Agency leads the work of coordinating measures before and during peaceful crisis situations and heightened preparedness in the preparedness sector of food supply and drinking water. The preparedness sector includes the Swedish Food Agency, county administrative boards, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, the Swedish Board of Agriculture, and the Swedish Veterinary Agency. Cooperation between the authorities in the preparedness sector is characterized by strong commitment and a desire to build Sweden's preparedness together.

Several exciting government assignments are on the way, and we want to strengthen the unit with a fixed-term employment that allows for broad work and important support in this effort.

Knowledge-wise, it is expected that you have a good understanding of the Swedish civil preparedness system, supply preparedness, and the food or drinking water sectors. It is advantageous if you also have knowledge of and a good understanding of the conditions of businesses, municipalities, and regions, especially related to grain and food stores.

The role requires very good knowledge of Swedish as well as good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
