HR Generalist Salary Formation at the Air Staff

The Air Staff is currently in a period of expansive development where successful HR work is crucial. We are now looking for an HR Generalist who wants to join our development journey. The Air Force organizes and trains air, base, and command units. With the support of the staff, the Chief of the Air Force leads all squadrons and schools in the Air Force at all levels of the conflict scale.

About the Position

The position is located at the HR department of the Air Staff, which consists of both civilian and military employees. Here, specialists and generalists work within HR, both internally for the Air Staff and externally for the entire Air Force.

We are now looking for an HR Generalist who will work internally for the Air Staff as a coordinator for salary formation and ultimately provide broad and operational managerial support. Initially, you will primarily focus on developing and coordinating the work within salary formation, such as finalizing the Air Staff's salary target image, supporting and training managers and colleagues in salary issues, and working with the annual salary review.

The role will also eventually involve managerial support where you independently conduct and handle cases related to, for example, salary setting, personnel administration, collective agreements, collaboration, labor law, etc.

You should enjoy a mix of tasks where you work both development-oriented within your focus area of salary formation while also handling cases and administration.

You will also contribute to the development of the organization by updating routines and instructions. You will work closely with the HR Manager and other colleagues within the department.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Degree at the university level in personnel/HR or equivalent education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Several years of current professional experience providing broad and operational managerial support in HR matters
  • Experience working with salary formation
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
  • Very good knowledge of the Office suite
  • Driver's license B

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is interested in salary formation. You are self-driven, responsible, meticulous, and enjoy delivering competent managerial support. You have good communicative and pedagogical skills and can create and maintain trusting relationships. In everyday life, you need to be driven and structured but also flexible, as we operate in a dynamic organization that can change character. We are looking for someone who has the ability to take responsibility and can work independently as well as in a team.

Great importance will be placed on personal qualities.

Meritorious

  • Experience working with HR within the Armed Forces or another government agency
  • Experience working in SAP/ the Armed Forces personnel system PRIO
  • Experience in coordinating and conducting training initiatives

Other

Employment type: Permanent position. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.

The primary and largest task of the Air Staff is to support the Chief of the Air Force in leading all squadrons and schools in the Air Force at all levels of the conflict scale. The Air Staff develops, plans, implements, and evaluates orders and directives issued by the Chief of the Air Force. The Air Staff consists of approximately 350 employees. The Air Force organizes and trains air, base, and command units and has the mission to monitor and protect Sweden's airspace. This is a mission that continues around the clock, year-round, to ensure Sweden's integrity. Approximately 5,100 employees, both civilian and military, work within the Air Force.
