The Education and Labor Market Administration is responsible for labor-promoting measures, integration issues, and education at the upper secondary and post-secondary levels. Here we create conditions for lifelong learning and opportunities for individuals to develop, study, and achieve self-sufficiency. Adult Education is part of VIA (Adult Education, Integration Unit, and Labor Market Unit) and is included in the Education and Labor Market Administration. RESPONSIBILITIES

Swedish as a second language at the basic level corresponds to courses up to and including grade 9, with content and methods adapted for adult students, and prepares students for further studies or for working life.

The students take the courses as scheduled classes during the day.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a certified teacher in Swedish as a second language for municipal adult education at the basic level.

You should have documented work experience from municipal adult education at the basic level and thus experience and knowledge in working with adult learning. You enjoy working with adults.

Your subject knowledge is very good. You have an interest in developing teaching that includes everyone and is grounded in current scientific theories.

Our students should use their studies in Swedish as a second language for employment and/or further studies. Therefore, it is important that you take responsibility for the whole and contribute to increased knowledge results and increased equity. You work to promote our students' knowledge development and shape good citizens.

You have an inclusive pedagogical approach, have high expectations, consider the individual student's needs, and create opportunities for our students to make progress in their learning.

You can work independently and take your own initiatives that benefit the organization.

Adult education is constantly evolving, and it requires that you are positive, engaged, and flexible.
