Vidhögeskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 540 students and 85 staff. The school is located in the northern part of the municipality, right in the community of Veddige with good communications to Varberg and surrounding municipalities.

Our catchment area covers a large geographical area, and we receive students from Deromeskolan in grade 4. All classes have home classrooms with associated group rooms, and there are well-equipped special rooms for practical/aesthetic subjects. We also have Flex activities at the school. There are also good opportunities in sports as we have access to various sports halls and are close to an ice rink as well as an outdoor environment that promotes movement.

At our school, we believe that safety and well-being are important for both students and staff, and the students have access to health staff every day of the week. Development work prioritized and ongoing at the school includes health and well-being as well as leadership and stimulation. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role, you primarily work at the school's after-school center, but some time in the school may also occur. Here you support the students throughout their school day, both during breaks and lessons as well as during transitions. You meet and lead the students both individually, in smaller groups, and in whole classes, where you use clear pedagogy and a low-affect approach to create a safe environment.

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest driving force. Together with your colleagues, you shape a relational leadership where the quality of teaching is the focus. We create the best possible meeting for learning.

As a teacher in the after-school program with us in Varberg Municipality, you have a central role in creating a safe, developing, and motivating environment for the students. By planning, implementing, and following up your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creation, and movement.

Together with your colleagues, you plan and follow up the after-school program based on your choices of pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, adapted to the students' needs and conditions. You meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with a focus on after-school programs. With a holistic view of learning and teaching, you see the possibilities in supporting students' development throughout the school day and create a red thread between school and after-school programs.

You have:

• Experience in meeting and working with children in need of support.
• Experience working with children with NPF.
• Knowledge of diabetes.

As an after-school teacher, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific grounds with an exploratory approach.

You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the organization by planning and following up on teaching together. You have a good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Together we are responsible for creating a sustainable working environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop.
