About the position

We are looking for a teacher for Vintrosa School who is qualified for the middle school level. The position is a temporary contract from the beginning of April until the end of the term in June. You will be a subject teacher and mentor for middle school students. We work in teacher teams based on grade levels, but in professional development and staff conferences, we are keen to create contexts that can benefit the continuity from grades F-6. As a teacher at Vintrosa School, you work with the "whole person," which means you must have an interest in the individual and not just teaching. It is under your relational leadership that our students have the conditions to grow in knowledge and as individuals.

Examples of job responsibilities:

  • use methods and approaches that lead to the best possible goal fulfillment
  • exercise mentorship and perform class teacher duties
  • support students' social development and upbringing
  • create a good learning environment
  • work and document in the operational systems that exist

About the workplace

Located at the edge of the "Blue Mountains" and in a nature-close setting that invites exciting play and adventure, Vintrosa School is a unique place. The proximity to nature is an asset that we utilize in various ways in our teaching.

About 220 students attend the school. The school is organized into a lower and a middle stage, as well as an after-school program. We have a good working environment, and educators and children thrive well together. Our value-based work is carried out through KRAFT (friendship, respect, responsibility, future, and security). This work characterizes all activities that take place during the day.

Vintrosa School has two lead teachers whose task is to lead the development work at the school so that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential in their learning. Over the past year, we have deepened our knowledge of how to best reach children with language disorders in their learning, and how we can best work with guidance and stimulation based on all children's different learning conditions. We have also focused on teaching mathematics and how we can best support children who find it difficult to learn mathematics.

We share some professionals within student health with Latorps and Garphyttan schools, but the student health work at Vintrosa School is based on our students' and the organization's needs. At Vintrosa School, we think "together" to achieve the best learning and being during school days.
