Lundbyskolan is looking for a teacher for the after-school program with a development assignment.
About the position
As a teacher in the after-school program at Lundbyskolan, you will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in accordance with applicable governing documents. You contribute to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where students' development is the focus. The role includes meeting students' individual needs and working to build relationships that promote participation, safety, and study peace throughout the school day. You collaborate with colleagues, participate in the school's quality work, and are responsible for documentation and follow-up.
The position includes a development assignment that gives you the opportunity to take responsibility and actively contribute to the continued development of the program. The development assignment focuses on language development strategies or meaningful and inclusive break activities and is combined with a team leader role and participation in the school's leadership team.
Examples of tasks:
- plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in the after-school program in accordance with applicable governing documents
- ensure that all students feel safe, included, and able to focus on their studies both in school and in the after-school program
- actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to the development of the program
- be responsible for documentation and follow-up in relevant operational systems
With a development leader assignment, the following tasks are added:
- drive and develop language development initiatives or plan and implement meaningful and inclusive break activities
- lead a team with responsibility for coordination, planning, and follow-up
- be part of the school's leadership team and contribute to the school's strategic and pedagogical development
About the workplace
Lundbyskolan works purposefully according to the guiding principles of knowledge, friends, and opportunities that should permeate the program. Lundbyskolan is a multicultural school where diversity is seen as a great asset. We have about 310 students and approximately 45 staff members working at the school.
We work with both digital and analog teaching materials in combination, and each student has access to their own iPad. We value collaboration and co-planning in work teams and focus on the student. The development of new working methods that benefit the program has strong support from the school management. Our goal is to create a pleasant workplace for all students and all staff. Lundbyskolan has developed the collaboration model NÄT, which aims to create trusting relationships between school, home, and important community authorities such as Social Services and the Police. Linked to the model is an ongoing two-year collaboration with Örebro University.

Qualifications
As a teacher in the after-school program, it is important that you have good collaboration skills, listen and communicate, and contribute to a calm and safe school environment. You have knowledge of children's development and learning, as well as the ability to adapt teaching based on both group and individual students' needs and conditions. You act with good judgment and a professional attitude, show flexibility in your working methods, and contribute to ensuring that the program is conducted with quality and continuity. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- teaching certification with authorization to teach in the after-school program, or an equivalent qualification that grants teaching certification
Meritorious:
- experience working in after-school programs
- experience working with language development
- experience with digital tools and teaching materials
- experience teaching art
