About the Position

As a preschool teacher with us at Väster Park Preschool, you will be part of our preschool operations where we meet the children with commitment and curiosity. This position will be located in a younger children's department, so we believe that you who apply enjoy creating an educational, safe, and joyful learning experience for the youngest children and following their development during their time in preschool. You will, together with other colleagues and individually, plan and reflect so that the content in preschool becomes challenging, stimulating, and enjoyable based on the set goals. Together with others in the work team, you are responsible for the children's development and learning, both for the individual child and the whole group. You will have a close and trusting collaboration with guardians and other staff. An open and permissive climate allows children to influence their everyday lives. The staff helps children process and articulate their feelings, thereby increasing understanding of others. We want to create an environment where the child thrives, makes friends, and where the child's desire and curiosity are nurtured.

• be familiar with and follow the curriculum, laws, policies, and routines
• actively work with children's language development and learning
• continuously and systematically document, follow up, evaluate, develop, and drive the educational work with a project-oriented approach
• through an intercultural approach, view everyone's differences as an asset in collaboration with guardians
• work to ensure that each child and the group have their needs met by applying a democratic working method
• work and document in operational systems

About the Workplace

Väster Park Preschool is centrally located in the west with proximity to beautiful outdoor environments such as parks and forests. We have different yards with fine outdoor environments. We also have access to a greenhouse that we cultivate together with the children. The daily operations in our preschool consist of five departments with children aged 1 to 5 years. We also have a night department. We are part of the intrapreneurship preschools centrally in the west. Within the intrapreneurship, the preschools often work together and exchange skills and experiences during, for example, joint staff meetings.

Within the intrapreneurship, all employees have scheduled reflection/planning time and clothing for indoor and outdoor use (outerwear and winter clothing) according to the municipality's graphic profile. We continuously work to ensure the quality of our operations. In the intrapreneurship, there is good collaboration within the management group as well as mentorship in the form of guidance for internship students and recent graduates.

Qualifications

As a preschool teacher with us, it is important that you are secure and engaged in your role. To achieve the preschool's goals, we expect you to be driven, take responsibility for your tasks, and have a solution-focused approach. Furthermore, you have the ability to see the whole picture and adapt to changing circumstances. In your daily work, you are good at listening and communicating and have a good understanding that children absorb knowledge in different ways and adapt your teaching based on the children's various conditions. You create good contact with both children, parents, and colleagues. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with children, relatives, and other staff, as well as document what the operation requires in writing. Since the work involves digital documentation, good computer skills are also required.

Requirements

• licensed preschool teacher, or hold a qualification-giving degree that entitles you to a license

Meritorious

• experience working with children aged 1-5 years
• experience with a project-oriented working method
• experience with educational documentation
• basic training in ICDP (Guiding Interaction)

Preschool teacher license must be attached to the application along with a list of qualifications or a diploma that entitles you to a license.
