About the position

The municipal adult education is aimed at individuals who want to complement their previous education, obtain qualifications for higher studies, enhance their skills within their profession, acquire new training in a new occupational area, or prepare for upcoming studies. The main purpose of all vocational training center activities is to create vocational training that leads to employment for our students.

The healthcare and nursing education at the Vocational Training Center is part of the Healthcare and Nursing College, which means that we as educators collaborate with employers, Kommunal, universities, and the employment agency. The work requires a high degree of flexibility regarding the implementation of teaching and a significant ability to start from the participants' knowledge levels.

Examples of tasks:

• teaching vocational subjects within healthcare and nursing
• joint planning and follow-up of teaching, as well as development of the training programs
• working and documenting in the existing operational systems
• preparing students for the professional roles of nursing assistants and caregivers

About the workplace

Komvux Campus Risbergska - the opportunity-filled adult education, which has been gathered since August 2017 in newly renovated premises at Campus Risbergska, beautifully located by Svartån near the Karlslund area.

Currently, over 200 employees work at Komvux Campus Risbergska, providing education and development for 3500 students. Training is conducted within Lärvux, SFI, at basic level, at upper secondary level, and within Higher Vocational Education - we make it possible!

Komvux Campus Risbergska is part of the Upper Secondary and Labor Market Administration. Here, 1400 employees work in a variety of roles to provide young people and adult residents of Örebro with the same opportunities for education and self-sufficiency. Qualifications

We expect that you as a teacher with us have a flexible approach towards your surroundings, that you are creative and have an easy time building new relationships. The position requires humility, attentiveness, and flexibility. We expect you to be a team player with your own drive. You are trustworthy in your communication and solution-focused when meeting students and colleagues. To succeed in the role, you need to have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and the ability to adapt teaching based on the participants' existing competence levels. Furthermore, you are self-driven in your work, and the role also requires you to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.

Requirements:

• teacher certification/vocational teacher education with a focus on healthcare and nursing
• trained nurse or district nurse or other healthcare education that the employer deems relevant for the position
• experience working in digital systems

Meritorious:

• experience working with learning platforms, we use IT's learning and Teams
• experience teaching in adult education and/or upper secondary school including IM
• knowledge of governing documents in adult education and/or upper secondary school
