About the Position

We are now looking for you who are a licensed teacher in Urdu, Dari, Pashto, Persian, and English as a mother tongue. You will plan, implement, and evaluate the teaching and participate in the unit's joint development work. Teaching will take place on-site at schools or via remote teaching on Teams.

We collaborate with various primary schools in the municipality, and to protect the environment, we cycle to schools when teaching occurs in a physical environment. With us in the Multilingual Unit, you will be part of a multicultural team consisting of about 40 teachers who work together to further develop mother tongue education for students.

The scope of the positions may be adjusted depending on the number of students with the relevant mother tongues.

Examples of Job Responsibilities:

• teach in mother tongue
• plan and implement teaching according to the curriculum in the subject of mother tongue
• assess students against knowledge goals for the mother tongue subject
• work and document in our operational systems
• provide study guidance to students in various subjects in their mother tongue

About the Workplace

The Multilingual Unit belongs to the Administration for Preschool and School in Örebro Municipality and administers all mother tongue education for all primary and secondary schools within Örebro Municipality. The mission of the Multilingual Unit is to support schools in their work to offer mother tongue and study guidance.

Qualifications

As a person, you are secure and stable and take responsibility for your work. You are structured and have a desire and interest in helping students achieve their goals. You work well with others, listen, and communicate in a responsive and smooth manner. You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and their different conditions. Furthermore, you have a creative approach to work and bring new ideas to work-related issues. You master the Swedish language well enough to communicate with students and other staff and can document what the operation requires in our systems.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Swedish teacher certification, or equivalent qualification that entitles you to certification
• documented good knowledge of Swedish and Urdu, Dari, Pashto, Persian, and English
• good computer skills
• experience working in primary school

Desirable:

• experience in mother tongue education in primary or secondary school
• experience as a study guide
• valid driver's license (B)
• ability to cycle
