About the Position
At Tegnérskolan, we are looking for a lead teacher qualified to teach grades F-3. In the role of lead teacher, you will drive development work to enhance teaching at the school and promote collegial learning. You will also collaborate in networks and with school management on development areas. Additionally, you will play an important role in independently planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching within your subjects. The position also includes mentorship and class teacher responsibilities, where you will have the opportunity to closely and meaningfully follow students' development. You have a strong student focus and believe in each student's willingness and ability to develop, adapting your teaching to meet students' needs.

Examples of Responsibilities:
- plan, implement, and evaluate teaching within the subjects you are responsible for
- use methods and approaches that lead to the best possible goal fulfillment
- perform mentorship/class teacher duties
- work collaboratively with the team and other staff at the school
- build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, contributing to the student's academic and social development in an engaging way
- work methodically with systematic quality work together with school management
- monitor the external environment and participate in school-wide work, such as leading and participating in networks in specific areas
- develop collegial learning and work for subject development
- share subject knowledge and teaching skills with colleagues, including digitalization and IT usage as a natural part
- support colleagues in their professional development through proven models and methods
About the Workplace
Tegnérskolan is located adjacent to Tegnérlunden in Väster, Örebro. Approximately 200 students attend from preschool to grade 3. The school has two parallel classes in each grade. Qualifications
As a lead teacher with us, it is important that you are a secure and stable person. You also have the ability to work motivationally, create engagement, and participation. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills where you listen and communicate, contributing to a calm and safe school environment. Additionally, you have knowledge of children's development and learning, as well as the ability to adapt teaching based on the group and individual students' needs and conditions. You communicate clearly, ensure that messages are conveyed, and follow up. Furthermore, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You drive your processes forward and can also quickly change your perspective and approach. You build contacts, maintain relationships, and can lead, motivate, and create engagement and participation among both colleagues and students.
Moreover, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with children, relatives, and other staff, as well as document in writing what the operations require. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- teacher certification with qualifications to teach Swedish, Swedish as a second language, and mathematics for grades F-3, or alternatively a qualifying degree that entitles you to teacher certification
- through documentation, be able to demonstrate at least four years of well-rated teaching experience
Meritorious:
- experience in driving development work within primary school
- experience in school development that has improved students' academic results
- experience in SVA teaching for second language students
- knowledge of and experience in working with a language and knowledge-developing approach
