Description

We are looking for a special education teacher for grades F–3.

If you are a qualified special education teacher, the position is a permanent employment.

Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

We want all our students to feel safe, comfortable, and involved in order to develop and learn according to their own conditions. As a special education teacher with us, you will play a central role in the school's work to create an accessible learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to succeed.

You will work closely with classroom teachers, student health, and school management to early identify and meet students' needs for support. The work includes both direct teaching of students in need of special support and guidance of colleagues in the special education work. You will participate in mapping, establish action plans, and follow up on students' development in close collaboration with guardians.

You are a secure, attentive, and committed educator who meets each student with patience and respect. You have an inclusive and solution-focused approach and see opportunities where others see obstacles.

You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have the ability to translate them into practical work. You naturally use digital tools in teaching and as support in documentation and communication.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A licensed special education teacher with a focus on the early years of primary school or equivalent education.
  • Collaborative and communicative with a good ability to build relationships.
  • Independent, structured, and responsible.
  • Engaged in school development and in creating teaching that meets each student where they are.

Experience working with students in need of special support, literacy development, and working with language and communication support methods is meritorious.
